Sandy has been working with and training dogs for over twenty years. She is a Certified Dog Trainer having graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College and currently is a Mentor/Trainer for their students. Sandy is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Trainer and Evaluator, as well as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.
Sandy is also certified and teaches Pet CPR and First Aid for Pet Tech. She also graduated Animal Behavior College Grooming School with honors. She owned and operated Sandy Pawz Dog House a local Grooming, Doggy Daycare, Boarding, and Training facility for 10 years. She sold the business and retired in 2019, but continues to train dogs, her first love.
She is experienced with dog behavior, aggression, and anxiety, and believes that the training techniques should fit the dog. There's more than one way to train and you can teach an old dog new tricks!
In her spare time, Sandy volunteers at Lions, Tigers, and Bears in Alpine, California where she gets to work with exotic animals including lions, tigers, and bears (Oh my!).
Sandy lives in Escondido with her husband Steve, her Labrador Hoodie, her Dutch Shepherd Jules, and her cat Foster.
